HORSEHAIR
A pencil-thick lock of tail or mane (about 10 inches) in a sealed zip bag - beautifully preserved, braided into the groove or set in the frame.
PHOTOGRAPHS
Protected between cardboard, for framed pieces - printed and placed alongside the shoe for a finished look inside the frame.
SHOW RIBBONS & ROSETTES
Folded flat, to be built into a shadow box alongside your horseshoe - celebration stitched right into the piece.
A NOTE OR LETTER
A personal note or memory adds a meaningful touch - we'll tuck it behind the backing or return it preserved with your keepsake.
Everything you send is photographed and logged on arrival, and treated with the same care as the shoe itself.
IS IT SAFE TO MAIL SOMETHING IRREPLACEABLE?
We know exactly what you're trusting us with - many of the shoes we receive are the last one a horse ever wore. That's why every order gets chain-of-custody treatment: intake photography the moment the box opens, a printed order tag that follows the shoe through every station, live status updates by email and text, and photos you can see in your own account.
Where can I send my horseshoe to be polished?
Right here. Place your order at the designer, and we'll email packing instructions and our intake address. We accept shoes from anywhere in the U.S. and ship the finished keepsake back to you fully tracked.
Can you engrave my horse's name on the shoe?
Yes - two ways. A brass name-and-date plate (included with most collections), or a custom quote or message engraved directly into the polished steel. Both are options in the designer.
How much does it cost to have a horseshoe polished?
Restoration and hand-polishing starts at $89 for the Heritage Polish, $119 for the jewelry-bright Mirror Polish, with personalized and framed keepsakes from $159 to $379. Return shipping is free over $150.
I have two shoes - can they go in one piece?
That's the Legacy Double: both shoes polished in one oversized frame with an engraved plate and up to two story elements included.
